Growing up, I had a poor body image and tried every diet and fitness fad under the sun in hopes of achieving the "perfect body." I didn’t have any body-positive role models to tell me the truth—that none of these insane schemes would ever create lasting results. I was unhappy and angry with myself for failing to stick to the endless cycle of extreme exercise and diet regimens and was left with an eating disorder mentality. Finally I grew tired of constant feelings of self loathing and decided to adopt the mantra "I work out and eat well because I love my body, not because I hate my my body"—I made a commit to live everyday this attitude.
I spent the next 10 years researching clinical nutrition and biology to understand how the body works and how to create lasting heath and fitness. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Nutrition and became a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
It is my life's passion to bring together my continuous research and discoveries into practice by teaching and empowering women to live strong, healthy, balanced, deeply fulfilled lives. I believe that fitness is a uniquely personal journey, and I am honored to share the gems of my own experience as I support other women in discovering and delighting in their path to their best self.
