Answering Your Top Concerns About Starting Pole Fitness
If you're curious about trying pole but feel a little unsure—you're not alone. Whether it's nerves, misconceptions, or just not knowing what to expect, we get it. That’s why we’ve put together answers to the most common questions we hear from first-timers. Spoiler alert: You don’t need to be strong, fit, or experienced to start. All you need is the courage to show up. We’ll take it from there!
Am I strong enough to do this?
This is probably the number one question we hear, and we love answering it: Yes, you are.
You don’t need upper body strength, flexibility, or any dance experience to begin. Our classes are designed specifically with beginners in mind. We specialize in welcoming first-timers, and our instructors are trained to help you build strength, coordination, and confidence—at your own pace.
Pole is a journey, and like anything new, you’ll grow stronger the more you practice. Trust us, nobody walks in nailing spins or tricks on day one—and that’s perfectly okay. The hardest part is just showing up for your first class. From there, we’ll guide you, cheer you on, and help you discover what your body is capable of.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. You don’t need to be a dancer, gymnast, or athlete. Many of our students have never taken a fitness or dance class before coming to us. Whether you're looking to move, build strength, explore your sensuality, or just try something new, pole is for every-body and every experience level.
We start from the absolute basics and build from there. You’ll learn foundational movements, safety tips, and how to connect with your body in a fun, empowering way. Every journey starts somewhere—why not start with us?
Is there a weight limit?
We’re so glad you asked, because this is a common concern—and an important one to address.
There is no weight limit. Our poles are professional-grade and designed to support all bodies safely. More importantly, our philosophy is this: Pole has no size. No weight. No limits. Every single body is a pole body.
We celebrate all shapes, sizes, and abilities, and we know that strength, grace, and confidence come in many forms. If you’ve ever been told you need to “look” a certain way to dance or move, we’re here to tell you otherwise.
You Belong Here
If you've been on the fence about trying a pole class, consider this your sign. Walking into that first class can feel intimidating—but once you're in, you'll find a welcoming, supportive community cheering you on every step (or spin) of the way.
So, to sum it up:
You are strong enough. We’ll help you get stronger.
You don’t need any experience. Just an open mind.
Your body is perfect for pole—exactly as it is.
